An Altogether Different Type of Third!
Back in 2019, with Covid wreaking havoc with so many Masonic schedules, Benevolent meeting at Wells was not immune. For Bob Paice it was only the installation meeting that took place before any further meetings were cancelled and lock down enforced. As the uncertainty unfolded, and one year rolled into two, Bob did an outstanding job, but one that was limited in its full potential. Now, 5 years later he’s back!
Installations are always special, but this one was especially so, with refreshments and snacks provided for all the brethren at ‘half time’. It’s encouraging to see the Brethren socialising from a broad range of ranks, ages and Lodges. Bob was word perfect upon re-attaining the Chair, something we have come to witness time and time again in a true Master.

The Lodge was honoured with the presence of Robert T Hughes, Provincial Junior Grand Warden, representing the PGM. It was a joy to hear him respond to his toast at the Festive board – delivered with a smile. We can confidently say a good time was had by all and as always it would not be a 446 festive board without the singing! !
W.Bro. Barry Davies led the Brethren in a rousing chorus of the Masters’ and visitors’ songs
We wish Bob all the best for the upcoming year and hope it is third time lucky with no global pandemics causing any interruptions this time round!
