United in Giving: Gordano & John De Clivedon Lodges Donate to REMAP & Gympanzees

Gordano Masonic Lodge and John De Clivedon Lodge recently held a cheque-giving ceremony at the Clevedon Masonic Hall to distribute funds raised from their joint Cabernet Evening. The event, held earlier in the year, saw the lodges raise a commendable £414, with each lodge generously donating £212 to their chosen charities.

Supporting Local Communities:

Gordano Lodge, based in Clevedon, selected REMAP Clevedon as their beneficiary. REMAP is a valuable organization that provides free practical help to disabled people in the local community. They design, make, and adapt a wide range of equipment to assist individuals with disabilities in maintaining their independence and quality of life.

John De Clivedon Lodge, also based in Clevedon, chose to support Gympanzees, a Bristol-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people with disabilities. Gympanzees offer a range of services, including therapeutic support, respite care, and inclusive activities, empowering young people to reach their full potential.

A Festive Spirit of Giving:

The cheque-giving ceremony took place in a warm and festive atmosphere at the Clevedon Masonic Hall. Representatives from both lodges were present, along with a representative from REMAP Clevedon, and Gympanzees planned in the coming month. The lodges expressed their sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the Cabernet Evening, emphasizing the importance of supporting local charities and making a positive impact on the community.

About the Lodges:

Gordano Masonic Lodge and John De Clivedon Lodge are both active members of the Masonic community in Clevedon and the surrounding areas. Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation based on principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth. Members of the lodges are dedicated to supporting their local communities through charitable endeavours and promoting good citizenship.

This generous donation from the lodges will undoubtedly make a significant difference in the lives of many individuals and families supported by REMAP Clevedon and Gympanzees.
