Weston Carol Service – A Thank you!

The Weston All Orders Carol Service at All Saints Church this year was a great success with hardly an empty chair in the congregation. The choir from St. Cecilia’s were up to their usual standard, ably accompanied by Rod Pring on the organ. Rulers from several Somerset Orders (Carole Davis presented the one for Knights Templar) were on top form. The wine, mince pies etc after wards went down a treat.   

We were honoured in that the the Address was given by Rev. Malcolm Lane, Great Prelate of the Knights Templar. His subject was peace with particular reference to the Middle East. This fitted very well with the subject of our collection, St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital. 

Thanks to the generosity of those attending, and the wonders of Gift Aid, we are able to donate £600 to that very worthy cause. I am so grateful to all those who contributed.
