It wasn’t from Norwich, but it was the ‘Quiz of the Week!”
Andy Hodge was playing Nicholas Parsons at the Rural Philanthropic Charity Quiz night, with a Christmas spirit throughout, Christmas Jumpers and Christmas themed questions were top of the bill.
With nearly 60 people participating, including partners, friends and prospective candidates a fantastic night was had by all. With nibbles along the way (prepared as ever by the hard working John Chinn) to feed the collective brains and plenty of alcohol consumed, the atmosphere was fun and convivial.
The losing team were supposed to sing Karaoke, but Selina Price of the winning team, took over the mic and blew everyone away with her fantastic voice – Britains got talent for this lady.
With a cost to play and the usual fun Raffle (with the WM Mike David selling tickets, helped by Stewards and the lovely Sophie, Granddaughter of one of the members), the night raised over £650 for local causes
After the quiz and Karaoke some of the guests were then shown around the Temple, to dispel myths and to explain the history and some of the symbolism we as Freemasons abide by.
These events are always good fun, well supported and really help to encourage prospective members to to become Freemasons as there was at least two guests who expressed an interest to join, both of whom will be met with soon.
