Forest of Mendip Christmas lunch.

On Sunday 8th December the Forest of Mendip Lodge held its annual Christmas lunch at Yatton masonic hall, friends families and widows were invited.
Our Worshipful Master decided to raise money for North Somerset Young Carers, there is a team of four looking after 500 young careers in North Somerset their ages range from 5 years to 18 years, the staff organise events for the young careers including visits to the cinema, theatre, ice skating etc, they also have food hampers at Christmas. The raffle raised £422 for the charity.
The carers service manager Natasha Wright , thanked the Worshipful Master and brethren for the kind donation it will help with either a trip for the carers or purchase art supplies, games and food for groups to make sure the carers are given respite and time to themselves.
Father Christmas also attended, and gave a gift to Lucas,who was unfortunately the only child this year, he also had a gift for our W.M. Who enjoyed the visit of Father Christmas.
An excellent time was had by all.
