Somerset Freemasons Support Bath Play Area with £4,000 grant
Disadvantaged children and their families in Bath & Northeast Somerset will be given additional
support thanks to a grant from Somerset Freemasons.
The grant of £4,000 made to the Bath Area Play Project will enable the charity to offer children
struggling with confidence and other issues additional help through weekly support sessions.
CEO of Bath Area Play Project Caroline Haworth said “Bath Area Play Project would like to say a massive thank you to the Province of Somerset Freemasons and their families for the donation of £4,000.
This grant will enable us to support disadvantaged children and their families with their wellbeing.
Since Covid, more and more children are struggling with everything from confidence to forming peer
relationships and dealing with their emotions. With this grant from the Somerset Masons, we will be
able to make a big difference for children and families through weekly support sessions which
improves communication, social skills, improved familial relationships and greater engagement in
school and the wider community.” Graham Puddy from Somerset Freemasons, said: “I am very pleased we have been able to help the Bath Area Play Project with their hugely valuable programme for local children. Thanks to Bath Area Play Project, children develop their wellbeing through the power of play. This support enriches the life of the children and their families.”
