It’s a Twofer at RPL 291

At their recent meeting the Rural Philanthropic Lodge conducted a double Passing Ceremony for the first time in over 25 years. With over 50 in attendance including a Past PGM (and only 6 guests) the Brethren witnessed a brilliant ceremony! Wayne and Simon were the candidates, both of whom thoroughly enjoyed their evening and cannot wait to be Raised next year.

The WM Mike David was in excellent form as were all of his officers. The two standouts were Ashley Price delivering the Working Tools word perfectly, in what was his first ever time on the floor and a word perfect explanation (without a single prompt) of the Second Degree Tracing Board by Ian Chedzey.

The meal that followed was the usual Traditional Christmas meal prepared and cooked by the ever hard working John Chinn. It was an excellent evening with laughter and revelry in what is the norm at Burnham on Sea.

The next meeting will be the Past Masters dusting off their books and conducting a Raising on the 3rd January.
