Connaught’s New Initiate!

On Wednesday 20 November Connaught Lodge had the pleasure of Initiating Mr James Jefferies into
their Lodge; their first candidate for several years. Bro. Jefferies is the fourth generation
running the family general building business. He lives in the Withington area of Radstock
with his wife Caroline and his two sons Oliver and Kian. Oliver, his eldest son, has recently
started working with his father making him the fifth generation involved in the business.

During the ceremony he was confidently escorted by the Junior Deacon Bro. Neil Sunderland
who also explained the ’Fire’ to the Initiate at the following Festive Board. Once all the
formalities were over Bro. Jefferies enjoyed a celebratory drink with some of his new found
brethren at the Connaught Arms.

They now look forward to initiating two more candidates in January.
