Alfred and Guthrum Install Gary as the new Master
On Tuesday 11th November the Brethren of Alfred & Guthrum Lodge meeting in Wedmore, saw Gary Body installed as their Worshipful for the ensuing year. Gary had already been in the chair before but was keen to accept this honour once again. The evening was made even more special as it was a real family affair, as Gary was installed by Jeff Body who was the Lodge’s Centenary Master the previous year.
The Provincial Grand Master was represented by Provincial Senior Grand Warden Garry Hawkes and was accompanied by Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies Andrew Mackay who was his DC for the evening.
This year saw the return of the “Light Blues” to the ladder and a goodly number taking up the role of Steward to ensure a great succession plan for the Lodge.
It was an absolute fantastic ceremony enjoyed by all, with that great atmosphere continuing into the festive board.
