New ‘Captain’ For Somerset’s Golf Lodge

The Brethren of Somerset Fairway Lodge 9251 were delighted to Install their new Master for the ensuing Year at Yatton Masonic Hall on Wednesday 6th November.

L-R. Tom Nutt, Garry Sharp, WM Brian Pollard and Jeff Body.

Outgoing Master Jeff Body has enjoyed an excellent year as Master of the Lodge which he rounded off by Installing his successor, Brian Pollard, in an exemplary manner.

The Lodge was honoured with the presence of W. Bro Garry Sharp, Provincial DC who was in attendance to represent the PGM. He was accompanied by W. Bro Tom Nutt, Provincial ADC.

Once Installed, new WM, Brian, enjoyed appointing and investing his officers for the forthcoming year, all of whom are looking forward to supporting him in continuing the excellent work, golf days and social events which have long since been established as defining characteristics of the Somerset Fairway Lodge, enjoyed by the members and their guests for many years.

The Brethren and their guests enjoyed the evening throughout, which concluded with a delicious Festive Board dinner, held in the usual lively and fun Fairway atmosphere.

New golfing members, of all abilities, are always welcome to join the Fairway Lodge membership, remembering that their golf competitions and meetings are open to all Masons, not just Fairway Lodge members!

The Somerset Fairway Lodge is based at Yatton Masonic Hall. However the April, June and September meeting venues vary, year on year, as they are preceded by a golf competition followed by a Lodge meeting at a convenient Masonic Hall in Somerset. The golf days for 2025 are to be held at Minehead GC (April), Worlebury GC (June) and Mendip Spring GC (Sept)
