Perpetual Friendship Chapter Installation Report

Perpetual Friendship Chapter 135, Bridgwater had its installation meeting on the 7th of October. The evening went well with an excellent team of officers being installed for the coming year and was well supported by visiting Companions and representatives of the Provincial Grand Chapter of Somerset. The meeting saw James Brown installed as Z, Paul Binding installed as H, and Richard Winter as J with all three being expertly installed by the installing officers. The meeting was supported by Andrew Clapp, the Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, Mark Golding, the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, and Roger Karn, the Provincial Grand Almoner.

The meeting was enjoyable with a strong new team of officers being installed for the year, with plenty of younger members taking on several key roles. Time was also taken at the beginning of the meeting to remember Michael Holman who passed away earlier in the year and who would have been installed as J at this meeting. At the meeting the members also held a vote to adopt the Savage Club workings going forward. This motion was successful, so the new team of officers will be starting to work on learning the new ritual shortly.
