Nyanza Lodge 1197 Take To The Lifeboats
At Nyanza’s Lodge’s regular April meeting in Ilminster, Bro. Ken Lavery, who is the Chairman of the management committee that are responsible for the RNLI Lifeboat in Lyme Regis, gave an extremely interesting and light hearted presentation on the 200 year history of the RNLI, both nationally and in Lyme Regis. Following the talk the Brethren pledged a generous donation in support of the RNLI lifeboat at Lyme Regis.
The Worshipful Master and Charity Steward went down to Lyme Regis during Lifeboat week, on the day of the RNLI’s 200th Anniversary, the 1st of August and presented a cheque for £500.00 to Sam Ellis, a member of the lifeboat crew and Brian Cursley, the Lifeboat Treasurer. Bro Ken Lavery was also present and he thanked the Lodge for their support.
