Priory and Stewards Lodges Joint Donation to Weston Hospicecare

Earlier this year Paul Marshall volunteered to take part in the Mendip Challenge, a walk of up to 30 miles along the West Mendip Way from Wells to Weston Super Mare in aid of Weston Hospicecare.

When the members of Priory Lodge and Somerset Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge became aware of his plan, they resolved to support him in his laudable goal.

Despite Paul’s plans being slightly scuppered by an injured leg, the two Lodges combined to give a joint donation of £700 to the Hospice, with George Pittaway, Master of Priory Lodge and Darren Herbert, Master of Stewards Lodge taking the time to travel to Weston to present their cheques.

Kirsty Simmons, the Community Fundrasing Manager for Weston Hospicecare said, “From the bottom of our hearts thank you for your kindness and raising a lovely amount of money to help continue with our care for patients and their families”.
