“Taunton” Hayley helps raise over £650 for the SURE Charity.

Hayley Hunt, the sister of Karen, who between them do all of the catering for the Taunton Masonic Hall, (TMH) and if you have ever eaten there, you know you never leave hungry!

Hayley is the hall manager and recently celebrated her 30 year wedding anniversary, so Haley and her husband thought, that instead of having presents, they would organise a raffle to raise money for the charity, SURE, the Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment, as both of Hayley’s parents died of cancer.

She raised a fantastic £650, which was then presented to Barrie Palmer, the Founder of SURE, the Provincial Membership Officer and stalwart of TMH!

Barrie said “Maybe this Masonic charity lark has rubbed off onto great supporters of us masons! Every member of all of the lodges in Taunton know Hayley and Karen and grateful for the work they do. Including refreshments and cakes free of charge when we have events such as open days”.
