Severn Lodge and Gordano Lodge working in perfect harmony!

At their meeting on Saturday 27th January, Severn Lodge not only received the Membership Challenge Visit, with Richard Winter leading the team of 12 from the current Provincial team, they also conducted a Passing Ceremony for Gordano Lodge, to help them out. Gordano have been very successful in recruiting new members. Their one man “recruiting machine” Rob Collins has done a a wonderful job bringing new members in to Masonry.

Neil Pimm the Master of SevernLodge led his team and members of Gordano Lodge, in what was a superb ceremony, with brethren of both lodges conducting the work in perfect harmony, showing what an excellent Fraternity Freemasonry is. Paul Hinkley the Master of Gordano led the proceedings with the questions to Jason Harvey and Neil Pimm finished off with an excellent solo rendition of the Tracing Board, to end a wonderful meeting. There was even a Past PAGM (Martin Slocombe) taking over as Junior Deacon showing us “his way” of how it is done.

The meeting started with a eulogy to R.W.Bro Stanly Hopkins who sadly passed away recently, then Richard Winter took to the floor to present the Membership challenge, informing the brethren how we need to move forward with the “yes if we can” attitude rather than the “no but” attitude, saying we need to look to take part in community events and look further afield for new members.
