Burnham on Sea Masonic Hall was the setting for the ever popular quiz night, with Andy Hodge as the main organiser and quiz master, asking the questions in his usual way. Due to illness and other issues the Lodge was unable to hold its Annual Ladies Night, so a Ladies Quiz night was held instead.
The almost world famous John Chinn’s “Grazing Buffet” consisting of a great many items, including prawn cocktails, sausage rolls, pork pies and hot chicken with roast potatoes, which was well received, with everybody having an excellent night.
The quiz was won by the team with the interesting name of “The Grand Jedis of Takamaka” which was shortened to TGJT as nobody wanted to say it out loud.
The amount raised was well over £200 with the final figures yet to be received, which will go to local causes. In usual RPL fashion there were several non-masons present with their partners, who said how much they enjoyed it and what a great atmosphere it was.
All in all a lovely evening with lots of laughter and revelry, well to done to Andy, Will for their efforts and of course John Chinn for the catering and Justin Weaver for running the bar.
