The Pipes Played and Bro Ed is Passed
On Tuesday the 16th January Estune held their first regular meeting of the year and what a night it was with a passing, a presentation of a Grand Lodge Certificate and a Burns Supper. The WM Mark and his team of officers conducted a fantastic ceremony in the passing of Bro Ed Colburn to the degree of fellowcraft. Bro Ed was a great candidate and conducted himself in great style as he made his way around the lodge. The tools were presented in fine form and W.Bro Bob Cook delivered a passionate rendition of the tracing board.
After the passing of Bro Ed the PAPGM W.Bro Martin Slocombe presented Bro Mark Sudol with his Grand Lodge certificate. the evening had a little bit of a twist which was fun with W.Bro Martin Hockley standing in as the Director of Music (via Spotify) with a great selection of music which was played in the temple during the ceremony. After the meeting had ended we all retired to the sounds of the Pipes leading us to the bar ready for the Burns night feast and what a wonder it was, decorated in true highland form with the Rampant Lion and Saltire adorning the room by Bro. Eric who we would like to thank for his hard work in organising the evenings festivities.
The Piper piped in the haggis and the address was done in true Burns tradition, a fantastic menu followed which was catered for by Sam and her team we would like to thank them as they made the evening go with a flow, with the care and attention they give to make it a great experience for our visitors. We would like to thank all our visitors for the support in making this an evening to remember as the saying goes “Happy to Meet Sorry to Part Happy to Meet Again” we hope you all enjoyed your evening and we look forward to seeing you all again for a warm Estune Welcome in February.
