Estune Welcome Bro Honey and Have a Visit From Some Owls
On Tuesday 19th December Estune held their last regular meeting of 2023 and what a night it was with nearly 60 Brethren in the temple to witness a first Class initiation of their New brother Andrew Honey.
Andrew was an excellent Candidate which always sets the standard for a great night, The evening started with our WM handing over the reigns for the evening to W.Bro Sandy Glen who set a high standard, the Deacons W.Bro’ s Simon Powell and Simon Eden performed well and the Charity Charge was delivered in true Spirit by Andrews proposer W.Bro Martin Hockley, The tools was delivered for the first time by our Secretary Bro Terry Ransome who delivered them well and the JW Bro Stewart Galway delivered an excellent charge after initiation all in all this was a great first experience for our new brother.
The festive board was truly festive with a traditional Christmas feast served by Sam and her team again we thank them for making the evening special, during the festive board we had a visit from the Portishead Owls who entertained us in fine voices with some Christmas carols, after the meal we had a very good rendition of the Entered Apprentice song by W.Bro Peter Rice with everyone joining in this was followed by the Chain making this a night to remember for our new Brother.
The raffle proceeds on the evening are going to the Nailsea Community Kitchen which makes a total of £500 that has been donated this month to help those in need over the Christmas period.
We would like to thank all our visitors you made the evening very special and we would like to see you all again for a warm Estune welcome.
We would like to Wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous and healthy New Year see you all in 2024.
