Estune Raise Over £700 At Christmas Social Event

On Saturday 16th December over 100 people attended the Estune Christmas Social event to raise money for St Peters Hospice the chosen charity of our WM Mark Eastaugh.

The evening Started of with Dave Reid who kindly gave up his time to sing some songs to get everyone into the Xmas spirit, Dave is a member of Lodge Marine and enjoys singing as a hobby, and if you are lucky enough to visit Lodge Marine on a Saturday then you may catch Dave performing as he sings at some of the meetings.

The festive Buffet went down a treat with plenty to eat for all a huge thanks to Sam and her team for the catering.

The best themed Christmas outfits was given to Sarah Collinson who had a Xmas tree on her head and the rather large elf Alex Buckley well deserved winners.

The Bumper raffle was held raising over £700 with all the prizes donated by local businesses which was drawn by Martin Hockley in a true festive theme with 13 lucky winners taking away prizes such as a Luxury Hamper, Bottles of Gin, signed Bristol Bears Rugby shirt, and much more, given out by Santa. We would like to thank all the companies that donated the prizes and the hard work of the social committee for working to secure the prizes.

The second part of the evening finished of with a combination of singing and jokes from entertainer Greg Suggitt.

We would like to thank all those who supported this evening for your great company and support in raising funds for St Peters hospice with over £700 raised for this good cause, with a great sum raised we can say that the evening was a success.

We hope that we will see such support at our upcoming events which I am sure will be a good night out with a quiz night run by Martin Hockley, We wish everyone a very Merry Xmas and a Prosperous New Year.
