“We Will Remember Them!”

At the annual Remembrance Day parades throughout the Country many Freemasons from Somerset took part in their local Parades and the laying of Wreaths.

Members include Sons, Grandsons even Great Grandsons of those that served in the wars including those Freemasons that gave their life in service to their Country.

It is nice to see them parading again wearing their collars with pride and to be involved with their respective communities and to show how much we care.

Lodges from all over Somerset took part including Bath, Langport, Ilminster, Frome, Taunton, Burnham on Sea, Wellington (one of whom joined the army 66 years ago) Weston super Mare, as well as the Wyvern Chapter of the Widows Sons, Bikers Association, an emotional day for them as the current President of the Chapter is deployed on active duty, so the Vice President Brian “Pit stop” Horn asked the National Vice Chairman (South) of the Association, Harry “Riff” Blinsdon to lay the Wreath at the Bridgwater War Memorial, before riding back to Brent House for an excellent carvery.

A special mention to Andy Grimes, who organises the Wreath for Elizabethan Lodge in Bath every year, despite being poorly, still did it this year and laid the Wreath.
