King Alfred Royal Arch Chapter Installation
Monday 25th October marked the Installation of E. Comp. Justin Pursey as 1st Principal, E. Comp. Daniel Kennedy as 2nd Principal and E. Comp. Nathan Henderson as 3rd Principal. This was a notable ceremony for many reasons, but mostly because this is the first time in a few years that the Chapter held the installation for three new Principals hopefully marking the start of a chain of newer members progressing through the Chairs. After a full installation ceremony, the members and visitors gathered for an enjoyable festive board with Neil Hurcum, Deputy Grand Superintendent, congratulating the Chapter on its success, pictured are Neil Hurcum (DGS), Daniel Kennedy, Justin Pursey and Nathan Henderson. Over the Summer, King Alfred Chapter made a further donation to Weston Foodbank. The Donation of £250 included £100 from the Provincial Grand Chapter of Somerset as part of the Foodbank Initiative promoted by our Grand Superintendent. Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Foodbank are Frederique Wigmore and Kelly Hale who thanked us for the donation particularly during this current financial climate when everyone is under pressure. Presenting the cheque on behalf of the Chapter are E. Comp. Jeremy Thomas, E. Comp. David Mallinson, Comp. Mike Dew, and E. Comp. Sandy Glen.
