The Wellington School, Somerset Lodge 7230 met in April and performed a raising of Brother John Caufield to the sublime degree of a Master Mason. Worshipful Brothers Dorrington, Cozens, and Ash delivered the Exhortation and Brother Leigh-Browne delivered the 3rd Degree Charge. The extended explanation of the Apron was given by Worshipful Brother Cottrell and The Traditional History was presented in an exemplary manner by the younger members of the Lodge: namely Brothers Grange, Williams and Loarridge. The Working Tools were presented by Brother Cross and Worshipful Brother Dorrington presented the Master Mason’s book .
David Jenkins, Past PGM of Somerset, then presented Jon Cozens with a 50 Years in Freemasonry Certificate and Badge, together with a brief summary of his life to date both personal and Masonic. Jon thanked David for his kind words and all present then went on to enjoy a bumper Festive Board afterwards. Many congratulations Jon on achieving this wonderful milestone in Masonry!
