Double Second at Royal Cumberland Lodge No. 41 in Bath
On Thursday 13th April 2023, at the Masonic Hall in Bath, Craig Harding, Worshipful Master of The Royal Cumberland Lodge, passed Mitch Godwin and Iain Kirkwood to the degree of Fellowcraft in a double second ceremony.
The lodge was also honoured to receive Benjamin Batley, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Somerset, escorted by Daniel Kennedy (acting as Provincial Director of Ceremonies) and accompanied by members of the Provincial team. Ben introduced members of the visiting Provincial team, and outlined how they can aid and assist lodges in areas of mentoring, membership and other Masonic activities. He had to admit that his team could not give assistance and advice in matters of ritual to Royal Cumberland Lodge, as their Workings are unique, only being practised by three lodges in the World!
Following the meeting, the brethren retired to the dining room where a festive board was enjoyed by all.
