Somerset Freemasons donate £10,000 to Duke of Edinburgh Scheme Bursary.

The Bursary provides support to the Alternative Provision (AP) scheme, which is education arranged by Councils or Schools to provide for those children who cannot attend “main stream” schooling due to health or other problems.

A generous donation of £10,000 was given to the the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme Bursary, from Somerset Freemasons. Ben Batley (third from left) said “we are fully committed to continue with the Bursary funding to help underprivileged young people to take part on the Scheme. On behalf of all Somerset Freemasons it is an honour to be able to present this donation”.
