Connaught Lodge help P.E.O.P.L.E

P.E.O.P.L.E is a well-established Charity, whose remit is the rehabilitation of Offenders. It has recently opened a shop and coffee lounge in Midsomer Norton High St, as a safe place for individuals and groups to meet for refreshments, book exchanges or counselling services. It also offers work experience to local school and college students. The charity also has residential accommodation in Westfield for carefully selected ex-prisoners.

the CEO Dr Jenny Clifford and shop manager/care worker, Tymon Emery were guests of Connaught Lodge at their Christmas function on Wednesday 21st December, when they receive red a cheque for £250 from the Lodge, plus a further £30 from two of the brethren. This was further augmented by £150, raised from an auction of two Christmas Hampers, contents of which were donated by the members.

Under the guidance of Chris James the Charity Steward, this made the total amount donated by Connaught Lodge to £3,380, which was given to local good causes including the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance service.
