Taunton Freemasons from Vivary Lodge No 8654 have been raising funds for the Guide Dogs for the Blind, and Vivary’s current WM, John Rudge, was pleased to present a cheque for £700 on behalf of the Lodge to the Taunton Branch of the Association on 18th August.
Mr Dave Arney, his wife Sylvia and her guide dog, Isis, were present to receive the cheque for the Taunton Branch.
The Taunton branch of the Guide Dogs association was founded in 1958 and has raised more than £1m since it was formed. Vivary Freemasons are very pleased to be able to add to the Association’s funds in its valuable work in training and providing guide dogs to visually-impaired owners.
