Paul Charlton, a member of Connaught Freemasons Lodge, is walking ten thousand steps a day throughout the month of March in aid of Cancer Research UK. Paul, who lives in Midsomer Norton, says he was inspired to do this as he has lost several close friends to cancer, and others are currently being treated for this dreadful disease. He added that he has already lost five kg in weight and expects to lose much more by the end of the month. Paul set himself a target of £250 but has already raised over £450. As ten thousand steps is approximately eight km, Paul has so far walked one hundred and twenty km and has another two weeks to go before the end of the month.
