Forest of Mendip Virtual Ladies evening

The Forest of Mendip were due to hold their Ladies evening on saturday 13th June, but due to the Corona virus everything was cancelled, so it was decided to hold a virtual Ladies Evening on Zoom. A number of members with their wives and partners plus two guests joined us for the evening. Everyone prepared meals in the afternoon, and there was a reception at 1900 with the men serving the ladies commencing at 1915.

Unfortunately not all of our members could join us but they were in our thoughts.

Those present held a virtual raffle which raised £250 for the Devon & Somerset air ambulance, the Worshipful Masters Charity. The prizes included Wine, Cider,Hand sanitizer and a Wooden spoon. From about 2200 brethren started to leave the event, but some didn’t retire till 0100.

We were unable to get everyone in the shot on zoom, but we have Garry & Paula Sharp all dressed up and Ray Beckingham partly dressed for the occasion.

A good evening was had by all and the ladies were happy to be involved once again in this time of uncertainty.

We are all looking forward to our next event which may be a virtual breakfast meeting.
