Lodges meeting in Wedmore
Three Lodges meet at The Masonic Hall, Church Street, Wedmore BS28 4AB
Originally the Village Assembly Rooms, the building was constructed towards the end of the 19th Century and also served as the Village Cinema until 1930 when the Hall was converted into Wedmore Masonic Hall. Until Summer 2013 the building was also home to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Somerset’s main office.

Alfred & Guthrum Lodge No 4535
Meets on the second Tuesday at 18:30 except November
Months – Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Oct, Nov (Installation 17:00) & Dec
Consecrated in 1923, Alfred & Guthrum Lodge purchased Wedmore Masonic Hall in 1930 for the princely sum of £700. Now with over 80 members the Lodge is one of the largest meeting in Somerset.

Sir Thomas de Cheddre Lodge No 9188
Meets on the second Thursday at 18:30 except October
Months – Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Oct (Installation 17:00), Nov and Dec
The Lodge takes its name from the family name of Sir Thomas de Cheddre, this being the spelling of the name of Cheddar village as late as 1700. The tombs of Sir Thomas and his wife Isabel can be found in the chancel of St. Andrew’s Church, Cheddar, of which he and other members of the family were benefactors

St Cecilia Lodge No 9341
Meets at 18:30 except October, on the fourth Monday
Months – Feb, Mar, Oct (Installation 17:00) and Nov
Somerset’s very own musical Lodge, was originally constituted as a ‘Travelling Lodge’ – taking its music to other Lodges in the Province by invitation. In more recent years it was decided to hold all four meetings at Wedmore. However, the Lodge still regularly supplies singers and music for major Provincial Team Meetings such as Lodge Consecrations, Bible, Banner and Organ Dedications
