Pilgrims Lodge, No: 772 in the register of the United Grand Lodge of England, is a Freemasons’ Craft Lodge in the Province of Somerset. The Lodge was consecrated on 26th July 1859 and has met in Glastonbury ever since.
The Lodge meets eight times a year on the last Thursday of the month from January to May and September to November. The meetings start at 6:15 p.m. except for November when we start at 5.p.m for the installation of the new Worshipful Master. The meetings are followed by a Festive Board which the majority of members attend along with our guests and visitors who are always very well looked after.
We also have regular Lodge of Instruction meetings. These are informal meetings and give newer members the chance to discover more about Freemasonry and the rituals.
The membership encompasses a broad spectrum of professions and trades and a wide range of ages.
The Lodge is also always keen to play an active role in the local community. Not only by supporting local charities and community bodies but also by helping individuals and providing facilities, such as a defibrillator for general use.
Pilgrims also enjoys a close relationship with other local Lodges and regularly joins with them in joint donations to worthy causes.
