George Washington Memorial Re-dedication.
From the 17th February and over the course of several days, Freemasons across the world will be attending the re-dedication of George Washingtons Memorial, the main event taking place today, 20th February 2023, to celebrate the 100 years since the Cornerstone was first laid.
When the original Cornerstone was laid in 1923, over 10,000 Masons, as well as the then President Calvin Coolidge, were there to witness the trowel, used by George Washington when he laid the original Cornerstone of the US Capital, being put into labor again.
The Memorial’s vision is to “inspire humanity through education, to emulate and promote the virtues, character and vision of George Washington, the man, the Mason and the Father of our Country”
